Conference on energy efficient lighting
At the conference on energy efficient lighting, DATA LINK has presented the PMC2 system for intelligent LED lighting management using low voltage grid, a simple and financially highly acceptable system for managing public and industrial lighting.
Regulation of lighting intensity is of great significance for additional energy savings and the implementation of the Intelligent and Energy Efficient Lighting concept, particularly where ESCO or EOC energy saving system are applied. LED lighting is particularly suitable for management, since its intensity can be regulated across a broad range, from maximum intensity to full dimming.
Latest research has shown that the intensity of public LED lighting can be reduced to 50% of the nominal light flow, without a significant effect on the quality of human eyesight in mesopic light conditions. This opens completely new perspectives in the sense of understanding and implementation of energy savings, while significantly contributing to a reduction of light pollution.
