At a press conference in Bjelovar, 3 projects by companies from the Bjelovar-Bilogora County which have received almost 1.8 million EUR in grants from the first structural fund for small and medium-size entrepreneurs, have been presented.

Minister Gordan Maras attended the conference, using the occasion to express his delight in the projects’ high quality, emphasizing that these projects are a proof that Croatian know-how and Croatian labor can create a high-quality products. He stressed that these are the first resources from structural funds which Croatian entrepreneurs could use, and that in the case of these three companies from the Bjelovar-Bilogora County, the investments amount to almost 32 million HRK, and also entail more than 70 new jobs and almost 14 million HRK in grants, which is without a doubt a great incentive for the county’s economy.

Darko Crha, the director of the company Data link d.o.o., has presented a project aimed at increasing the company’s productivity through the introduction of the innovative production technology for LED light fixtures, which will allow this technological company to increase production capacities and the assembly of electronic LED modules by a factor of at least 20. The project’s total value is 10,476,738.07 HRK, and the grant amount within the ERDF program is 4,582,787.97 HRK. Technical assistance in project preparation was provided by the local development agency LORA d.o.o. The expected result of the investment is increased labor productivity, increased revenue, hiring 7 new employees and increased added value per employee.

Through the said grant from the structural fund, the company will upgrade and modernize its operation and increase its revenue and productivity over the next two years.
